Miss Kailey, Owner/Director

At the early age of 3, Miss Kailey began studying the art of dance under her masterful mother, Miss Sandra Stone. From there, Miss Kailey surrounded herself in music—dancing, singing, and acting. Miss Kailey began piano lessons at the age of 6 and would go on to learn how to play numerous other instruments, including the guitar and banjo.

Around the age of 9, she began traveling and performing with an entertainment group known as the Showstoppers, of Paducah, KY. Miss Kailey has entertained at numerous events, festivals, churches, and has even performed in Branson, MO, where she competed, and placed, in America’s Most Talented Kids!

Miss Kailey began student teaching under Miss Sandra when she was in high school. During her studies at Murray State University, she began teaching on her own, under the supervision of Miss Sandra, at their studios in Murray, KY and Paris, TN.

Miss Kailey is a trained and certified member of the Southern Association of Dance Masters, a certified member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, a member of the National Dance Education Organization, an Acrobatic Arts Certified Instructor, and licensed in Leap Surgery® and Pirouette Surgery®. Miss Kailey continues to further her knowledge and that of her students in traveling to various conventions, workshops, and competitions to provide an array of performance opportunities. These opportunities not only within the community but across the US, as she has been invited to bring students to perform at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Florida.

Miss Kailey lives to entertain and inspire her students with her high level of energy and outgoing personality. She prides herself in providing an exciting and safe environment for her students--one in which they feel comfortable to express their unique personalities, feel equipped for what is ahead in their journey, and strive reach their full potential!

 

Anita Spaulding, Senior Instructor

At the age of 6, Miss Anita began studying the art of dance at Shannon's School of Dance, in Evansville, Indiana. She studied ballet, tap and jazz under Miss Shannon Jackson and Miss Michelle Crosbie for 12 years.

Miss Anita was also involved in speech, color guard, choir and theater while in school. She went on to compete in humorous interpretation and appeared in several school musicals and madrigals.

After graduating high school, Miss Anita attended Murray State University. While there, she furthered her dance education with the Murray State Dance Company. In addition to her previous experience, she learned contemporary, hip hop, Bollywood and Broadway styles of dance.

Miss Anita joined the SK Dance Studio family in fall of 2019. She began student teaching under Miss Sandra and Miss Kailey in December 2019. Miss Anita is a trained and certified member of the Southern Association of Dance Masters.

 

Chaley Roberts, Studio Manager

Miss Chaley is a Murray native and long-time student and friend of Miss Kailey. She started dance at the age of 2 with Miss Sandra and continued dancing until graduation. Miss Chaley also participates in the adult tap program at MKDS.

Miss Chaley can mostly be found behind the front desk, but you may also find her working as a substitute for teachers when needed!
